Miss ModelUK.com - 86 Janine Allen Robertson

Achievements
I have just won the title of Miss ModelUK.com 2007 and I also came second in Miss Oxford 2007! I now have the chance to compete at Miss England which is a huge achievement for me as it has been a great ambition of mine for quite some time! I passed all of my GCSE's and then qualified at college in Administration. I have passed the British Horse Society Stage 1, 2, 3 and Preliminary Teaching Test. I am currently studying for the British Horse Society Stage 4, the Intermediate Teaching Test and an accounting course. I teach horse riding at a local riding school and have just started out as a helper, with a view to being an instructor, with the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association). I am a Local Honorary Organiser for Cancer Research UK and I help the Marfan Trust and Breakthrough Breast Cancer as much as possible by fundraising and volunteering. I have had alot of success in horse riding competitions. I have competed in dressage, show jumping, cross country, showing and eventing on my horse and have been lucky enough to be placed in some major competitions throughout recent years. I competed in swimming galas from the ages of 8 to 18. I was part of the City of Oxford Swimming Club and was lucky enough to be part of their gala squad and travel the country competing in galas at regional, county and national level.

Talents
Horse riding, sports, acting, singing and teaching.

Ambitions
My main ambitions are to be happy, healthy and an excellent role model. These are three things that are very important to me. To live a life without happiness is no life at all and sometimes it can be something as simple as being courteous that can make someone’s day. Health is something alot of us take for granted and I want to show people that just by eating healthy foods, not smoking and exercising regularly you can considerably improve your chances of staying healthy. I also want to be considered as an excellent role model, as this is a position where you can positively influence people from all walks of life and of all ages. I want to be someone that people can approach, talk to and hopefully learn from. Other ambitions that I have are to pass the exams that I am currently studying for, to pass the 7.5 tonne lorry driving test, to learn a different language, to become a volunteer instructor for the RDA, to join an acting group, to travel to as many different countries as possible so that I can experience as many cultures, religions and traditions as possible and last but most definitely not least I would love to have the opportunity to be Miss England and to represent our great country at the Miss World competition! Having come from being a little girl who got picked on terribly both in and out of school, who had no confidence at all, to someone who is now in line for consideration as England's representative at Miss World is just a fantastic feeling! I really feel that I could use my past experiences of bullying, family illness and general family problems to help others and I feel that to have this chance is already showing people that may be having or have had similar life problems to me, that if you are dedicated and positive enough about life or just something that you want to do then it is achievable.
