Achievements I am extremely proud to be representing my home town in the finals for Miss England. Despite this, I am still very grounded, and feel my most favourable achievement is my degree in Criminolgy and Social Policy. In order to achieve this, I put myself through university and juggled part-time promotional work with my studies in order to obtain high grades. I moved away from home and fully supported myself, which I feel has helped to make me the person I am today. I also have 4 A-Levels, and 9 GCSEs. I worked in the Balearic Islands a couple of summers ago, and also worked in Zante, Laganas the summer before that. This was such an amazing experience as it allowed me to see how other cultures live and work. I have taken part in various promotional and modelling assignments over the past 9 years, and posed as the covergirl for a local magazine at the beginning of this year (2007). I also won a competition for 'The Face of Brighton' in 2003. Last year I worked as a voluntary worker within my local courts in order to offer support and guidance to offenders and their families. This was an extremely rewarding role as I was helping people who had sometimes lost their way to build better lives and futures for themselves.
Talents I am artistic and creative. I have a great eye for fashion and style, and love designing my own clothes. I also customise many of the clothes I already have in order to give them an individual and completely new look. I achieved a grade A in A-Level Art and Design, and am gifted at sketching, painting, and designing and making arts and crafts. My english skills are very good and I am able to write very well. This is something I really enjoy doing and am currently in the process of setting up my own web-based company which offers different kinds of writing services including ghost writing, copy writing, copy editing, and proof reading. I am also able to write poetry and short stories. I feel I make a good model and feel very relaxed behind the camera.
Ambitions I am thrilled to have become Miss Plymouth and would love nothing more than to represent the people of England by becoming the next Miss England. I have ambitions to travel the world, and would love to pursue a successful career in either modelling or PR. Whatever happens in my life, I hope to be successful, and live a life that is worthwhile and rewarding.
