Achievements Being crowned Miss Lincolnshire 2007 was the perfect way to end an amazing four years. I have just completed my Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) in English and Film Studies at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, and expect to receive a 2.1. Throughout my time at University I have achieved many things, the two most prolific achievements include being appointed Student Representative for my course from 2004-2007, as well as being a regular features/ entertainments writer and Features sub-editor for the Northumbria Student (University Newspaper), from 2005-2007. I have also had success in other competitions, including Channel 4's Shipwrecked, where I got to the final auditions of 1,000 people (approx. 45,000 people applied). Finally, I was shortlisted for Britain's Next Top Model 3, out of over 15,000 girls, and attended an audition in Manchester with judge, Jonathon Phang.
Talents My talents include singing, playing bass guitar, and dancing. From a young age, I have shown a keen interest in singing, and havetaken part in choirs and performances throughout Secondary School. I have been playing Bass guitar for two years and have recently been approached by an International Alternative Rock band to audition for them. Finally, I have been dancing since I was seven years old and have trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Character, Jazz and Street Dance. I also rode horses from a young age, and after a long break from it, recently took it up again, receiving training from my sister, who has her own Competition horses.
Ambitions My main ambition in life is to have a successful career in either Television/ Print Journalism, or PR. As a progression from my degree course and dissertation, I would also like to write about various aspects of Film Theory and have my work published in Academic Journals.
